SESSIONS: The 6th Annual Soccer Speed
Summer Camp consists of six one-hour sessions on July 8th, 10th,
15th, 17th, 21st and 29th, and is divided
into two age groups: U10-U13 and U14-U18.
WHAT:
Soccer Speed was developed by A.C. Reynolds track coach
Lee Pantas, and is designed to teach young athletes the
fundamentals of proper sprinting and starting technique.
Instruction covers basic sprint biomechanics and sprinting form,
individual correction of major running faults, starting and
reaction skills, and speed development drills specific to
soccer. Learning to sprint, getting to the ball faster,
developing greater breakaway speed and more explosive starting
reactions are all #1 goals of the summer camp.
TIME: U10 -U13: 6:00 to 7:00 pm, U14-U18: 7:00-8:00
pm, rain or shine.

MISSING SESSIONS: The format for the summer camp sessions involve
considerable repetition of drills and skills learned and missing a
session or two will not be a detriment to receiving full benefit from
the summer camp.
BONUS/MAKEUP SESSION: An extra session will be held
August, 12th, from 6:00-7:00 PM is over for those campers who miss sessions. All
campers are invited to this session, even if they did not miss earlier
ones.
